Kok-Tobe is one of the symbols of the city of Almaty and all of Kazakhstan, located on the peak of Kok-Tobe mountain at an altitude of 1,160 meters above sea level, a 5-minute drive from the city center. The unique complex with restaurants and cafes, cozy alleys and unique nature has become the most striking attraction of the city of Almaty, where many people admire the city from a bird’s eye view.
The main idea of the Park’s creators was to combine the picturesque natural landscape (the Park is located near the mountains) and modern technologies.
At the main entrance to the Park, visitors are greeted by an elegant semicircular arcade of decorative columns. In the spaces between them, sculptures in the form of gold vases are displayed.
The Park has the largest fountain in the city, which is a multi-stage cascade of water attractions.
Behind this fountain there is a monumental and sculptural composition “Kazakhstan”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of independence of the Republic. In the center of the monument there is the figure of the First President, and on the wings of the Golden eagle — the symbols of Almaty and Astana.
Going further along the flowery alleys, you can find birch groves, thickets of huge fir trees and pleasant quiet green glades. In the South-Western corner of the Park you will find a gazebo with an observation deck, which offers a stunning view of the city and the Tien Shan mountains.
