AKMOLA REGIONAL MUSEUM OF LOCAL HISTORY

Akmola Regional Museum of Local History – one of the oldest cultural institutions of the region, was founded in 1920. The museum’s collections on the history, archeology, ethnography, nature and culture of the region today number more than 83,000 exhibits.

KAZAKH MUSIC AND DRAMA TEATER KUSAINOV

The Akmola Regional Kazakh Music and Drama Theater opened on March 6, 1996, the first performance was “Akan seri-Aktokty”. The theater’s repertoire includes about 60 different productions, including classical, dramatic works and also comedies.

MUSEUM OF HERO OF THE SOVIET UNION MALIK GABDULLIN

The Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Kazakh Soviet scientist-teacher, Doctor of Philology Malik Gabdullin was opened in 1995. The museum’s exposition is located in a building that was built 125 years ago. The museum’s collections contain exhibits that tell about the life of Malik Gabdullin, the museum consists of 5 exhibition halls.

MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF THE CITY OF KOKSHETAU

The Museum of the history of the city of Kokshetau was established in 2000. The museum is located in the old part of the city. It was in this area, at the foot of the hills, on the shore of Lake Kopa, that the birth of Kokshetau began in the first quarter of the 19th century. The museum building is a historical monument and is under state protection. The museum’s exposition reflects in chronological order the main milestones of the history of Kokshetau, from the moment of its foundation in 1824 to the present. The museum’s collections contain more than 11 thousand exhibits. Among the exhibits there are the most interesting for visitors are the American car brands Cadillac, the German bike brand “durkop” dating back to the early 20th century, and the old types of road transport and winter sleigh and summer cab.
